Christian Lopez brings a powerhouse combination of frontline field experience and cutting-edge technical expertise. As a former Wildland Firefighter who specialized in logistics and satellite communications for the U.S. Forest Service, he deployed unmanned aerial systems (UAS) in high-pressure, high-stakes environments; utilizing drones to drive tactical firefighting operations, manage critical resources, and conduct vital field research.
With a Master’s degree in Applied Artificial Intelligence from the University of San Diego, a Bachelor’s in Anthropology from UC Irvine, and AUVSI TOP certifications, he operates at the intersection of advanced technology and real-world action. He is dedicated to transforming students into elite, safety-driven pilots that are equipped with the exact skills needed to navigate airspace legally and safely, empowering them to push the boundaries of UAS applications across a multitude of industries.
When he is not commanding the skies or the classroom, his dynamic pursuits keep him just as active; whether he is catching waves surfing, performing as a stunt scare actor, or running his own private tortoise sanctuary.
