ABOUT TYLER
Tyler E. Hazen became attracted to the drone field after encountering the immense passion for drones and drone technology possessed by those in the industry coupled with his interest in policy concerning new and disruptive technology. During his time in the drone law field, Mr. Hhttps://drones.fullcoll.edu/wp-content/uploads/sites/81/2026/09/Tyler-Hazen-Headshot-1024×821.jpgazen has helped companies navigate the type certification and NDAA compliance processes, prevent liability, and assess risk. Tyler Hazen coauthors Drone Law, a leading legal book in the field published by Thomson Reuters currently in its ninth edition. Mr. Hazen has been invited to speak at major conferences on numerous issues including trespass and privacy concerns, public acceptance, and automation. He has extensively researched and written on the intersection of state tort law, Constitutional law, and federal drone regulations. Mr. Hazen is a member of the California and Nevada state bar associations.
Mr. Hazen is an experienced litigator in torts, contracts, and products liability. He is a partner with Angulo McGhee, APLC. His clients include national and international product manufacturers and Fortune 500 companies. He graduated summa cum laude with University Honors from Eastern Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in Government and obtained his Juris Doctor from University of San Diego School of Law. Mr. Hazen enjoys spending free time playing with his band in the San Diego area.
